And then …

21 December 2017 – And then …

And then, the sun came back.

Trees throw great long shadows across still-snowy parkland …

Shrubs gleam …

and preen …

and holiday tree ornaments shoot darts of brilliance all over the sky.

Perfect timing.  The sun comes back, just as we welcome the Solstice.

Here in the northern hemisphere, it is the Winter Solstice — the moment when the great cycle of life begins again, with its bounty of renewed light, warmth and energy.


Whichever your hemisphere, Happy Solstice.
