10 June 2025 – First we join respectful others in Douglas Park, peering upwards into adjacent trees…

to catch any available glimpse of the barred owl family…

that has taken up residence.
Then we walk back out West 17th, stopping to look up once more…

to enjoy the play of tender new red & green leaves overhead, tossing their shadows back & forth as they ripple with the breeze.
And finally, having reached our chosen café, we cast our eyes downward to properly savour (respectively) a macchiato and a latte.
All of it a cause for delight, this sunny morning.

/ 10 June 2025Lovely little owl! But honestly, that everybody looking shot should be on the cover of a Life-style magazine, or at least above the fold in a newspaper. Fabulous shot.

/ 11 June 2025Thank you! What I liked best about that crowd shot was that it showed everyone’s sense of awe and respect. How reassuring, that we human s sometimes can still shut our busy mouths and still our busy bodies, and be respectful

/ 10 June 2025How wonderful! And you got such a great capture of one of them, too, who’s seemingly oblivious to the fact that she or he is a celebrity, as a wise owl should be. I love your leaf photo, as well. Beautiful.

/ 11 June 2025This post of mine is one the same theme as your own 2nd most recent post: to see and appreciate.

/ 11 June 2025Yes, we definitely need to stop talking and do more seeing. Definitely couldn’t hurt.
